This book presents a large number of day trips in all corners of Jämtland. Here you will find both well-visited mountain peaks and rarely hiked forest paths. The book is aimed at everyone - from families with children eager for hiking to experienced mountain runners.
The 66 tours suggestions in the book are between three and 25 kilometers long and offer great variety. There are long and short tours, easy and more challenging, but all follow nice paths and offer beautiful views. All day trips in the book start from a car route.
The book is written by Linnéa Damberg and Johan Ranbrandt. Linnea lives in Östersund and is passionate about getting people out into nature, including through the Instagram account @utijamtland, which provides tips on activities and nature experiences. Johan is also a resident of Östersund and has worked with outdoor life for large parts of his life, including as sports director at STF Storulvån. He has previously written the books Friluftsliv i Jämtland and Fjällvandra i Jämtland.
