This climbing guide describes more than 1,000 routes spread over 45 different climbing areas in Östergötland - a total of more than 20,000 meters of climbing! Ågelsjön is perhaps the most scenic climbing area in Sweden, it is also the largest in Östergötland with today close to 270 routes. Since the previous climbing guide came out over Lake Ågelsjön (1995), a lot has happened. In this guide you will find many new areas that have started to develop and that until now there has been no information about. The book also covers a handful of the nearby cliffs in Småland. The author Fredrik Schlyter grew up in Norrköping and began his climbing career on the cliffs at Lake Ågelsjön. Alongside his passion for mountains and rocks, he works as a photographer, preferably with nature and outdoor life as motifs. Fredrik has also participated as a photographer in the book Klättrarens själ (2005) together with psychologist and climber Per Calleberg. All climbing areas have driving directions in English!
