Skåne is unique in Sweden with three national tourist cycle routes. The marked trails take you around the entire coast, from Bromölla to Båstad and pass many of Scania's most beautiful places. It's about real pleasure cycling, there are often nice cafes and restaurants along the way and if you want to swim, you just turn down to the nearest sandy beach. You can spend the night at a campsite, hostel or a luxury hotel. Each stage in the book is presented with detailed maps at a scale of 1:50,000. The authors also do deep dives into the culture, history and sights along the way. You get tips on worthwhile detours from the trail and information about accommodation, where you can buy food or find the nearest bicycle repair shop. The authors are freelance journalist Caroline Alesmark and hiking expert Kenneth Joelsson. Caroline often writes about the combination of cultural history and nature and has published several popular books about Scania. Kenneth works, among other things, with the development and management of hiking and cycling trails. He is particularly passionate about the connection between the stay in nature and personal well-being. Together, they previously wrote the guidebook "Vandra Skåneleden" which has been published in several editions.
