This guidebook, written in Finnish, presents 46 day hikes and 3 longer trekking routes. It covers the entire national park with surrounding summer trails, as well as marked routes around Hetta and Levi. The book is divided into four geographical sections and also includes chapters on nature and history, along with practical advice for a successful hike.
The author, Tommi Sirviö, is a physical geographer and experienced hiker with many years of experience on trails in Finland, Northern Scandinavia and the Himalayas. He has previously written several acclaimed hiking guides, including titles on Northern Lapland, Hossa and Kylmäluoma, North Karelia, Repovesi and Nuuksio, as well as parts of a guide to the Helsinki region.
