Isojärvi is a fjord-like lake with a depth of 80 meters, which is attractive for paddling. You can start the trip from the boat launch in Nokipohja, which is about a kilometer away from the old seiners' fish market. Most of the park is beautiful forests between the valleys or hoilos. The prettiest hogs hum in Lortika and the biggest firs reach for the sky in the primeval forest of Latokuusiko.

The museumized forest groves and the Herety nature trail tell about the savories of the past. The 11-kilometer Vahterjärvi tour connects the Lortikkavuori nature trail and the Heretty-Lortikka bike path and leads to the beavers' work site.

On Leivonmäki, the diversity of nature in Central Finland is concentrated. Vast open marshes, winding ridges and knee-deep lakes connect to each other to form a varied whole. The Syysniemi forest area is dominated by dense pine forests, but there are also mature spruces and many old deciduous trees. A beautiful view of Lake Rutajärvi opens up from the ridge of Joutsniemi. The paths and long wooden trails that cross the wilderness nature are suitable for a day trip for the whole family. Some of the fire places are covered. You can spend the night in camping areas and shelters.

Pyhä-Häkki is a park of untouched primeval forests and ancient trees, which can be easily explored from marked ring trails. The pines with their evergreens are more than 250 years old on average, the oldest specimens are from the end of the 16th century. Since 1508, 44 fires have raged in the area.

Along the Tulijärvi trail, the longest of the park's four ring trails, you can stay overnight in a log cabin or in a rental cabin. The Mastomäki path introduces you to the primeval forest. Etelä-Konnevesi represents the lake and forest region of Northern Savonia. The clear water lake is suitable for fishing and kayaking. Barren and steep beaches create a wilderness atmosphere. In the northern and western parts, the terrain becomes gentler and the rocks become smoother. Many islets, straits, and depressions offer favorable harbors for leisure fishermen and ospreys. In the lush groves of the continent, the most prominent linden deposits grow in Pohjois Savo. The old forests of Enonniemi, with their thick forests, are also valuable in terms of species. From Kalajanvuori, there are beautiful views over the ridges of the lake, across which a busy boating route with landing and fire places runs.
