Hossa, our country's newest national park, brings greetings from thousands of years ago: The oldest settlements date back 10,000 years and the Värikallio rock paintings were carved 4,000 years ago. The waters flowing from three directions meet in Hossa and continue towards Oulujoki and Pohjanlahti. 90 kilometers of trails are signposted for hikers, which can be hiked, skied and cycled. The route following Somerjärvi connects Hossa to the Kylmäuloma camping area, whose routes run through ridge pines and aspen.
