The Roslag trail stretches 190 kilometers from Danderyd in northern Stockholm to the old fishing village of Grisslehamn on the Åland Sea. In this book, all stages are described with an impact on cultural history and attractions. Along the way you pass rune stones, rock carvings and fascinating environments such as the old gunsmith Wira bruk and Albert Engström's studio, as well as excellent birding sites such as Angarnssjöängen and Brosjön. When the Roslagsleden was extended up to Grisslehamn in 2009, it went from a marked path among others, to a complete lowland trail with the possibility of both shorter day trips and substantial long hikes with an overnight stay. In the book, you also get suggestions for hikes directly connected to the stages: Hiking in the Runic Kingdom | GPS Walk Between War Remnants | In royal footsteps Through the territory of the wolves | Weekend hike with an archipelago feeling | City walk with a rural feel | Hiking along the waterways of the Vikings The author of the book, Gunnika Isaksson-Lutteman, lives in Roslagen and is almost a professional weekend adventurer, always with the adventure dog Diesel by her side. She likes to share her adventures on the blog or website (52adventures. see). This is the 3rd edition of the book.
