This book offers plenty of tips for beautiful day hikes along the entire Bohuslän coast. The hikes take you along quaysides and winding forest trails, over rocky outcrops and out to islands. Past countless swimming coves, restaurants, and ice cream kiosks. Up to scenic hills with panoramic views, along old gravel roads and pastures with grazing cows, and through a maze of boathouses in archipelago communities.
Almost all the hikes in the book are easily accessible by public transport. You’ll find the nearest stop in the quick facts section for each hike. Most routes follow trail markings, but not all. If you need to find your way, simply open the hike on your phone using the QR code.
Karin Fingal works as a freelance journalist and grew up on an island in Bohuslän. She loves being in nature—ideally both in her free time and while working. Fredrik Schenholm is a firefighter, geologist, and photographer specializing in capturing people in the landscape. The authors have previously published Vandra Bohusleden, Weekendvandra kring Göteborg, and Det vilda Göteborg. Fredrik Schenholm has also contributed to Mountainbike kring Göteborg and Äventyrsfoto.
Each map in this book is equipped with a QR code. Scan the code with your phone camera and you can easily follow the hike suggestion on your phone.
